I took the S600 to the dealer this morning to have its coolant loss problem diagnosed and fixed. Fine. They gave me a C300 loaner car. Also fine. I dropped the C class back at my house so I could drive my LS400 for the day. First mistake. I proceeded to go to my dentists appointment where I parked in a semi secluded place. You’d think this would be fine, but no. Some brat kid swung the door of his moms XC90 open with about the same force as whatever killed the dinosaurs, so now I have a massive dent in my rear quarter panel...

The same force as whatever killed the dinosaurs! Brilliant. Side note: my wife does this but when closing doors. I’m fairly certain that if we had an old beater vehicle she’d have slammed the doors hard and frequently enough that the damn thing would just collapse.

At any rate, hopefully it’s not too much of a headache to get it fixed on their insurance/dime.

It was a almost brand new XC90, so considering the area, it probably won't be a problem. It really pisses me off when people slam any door.

Reminds me of the Mom I saw at work who hit her kid for touching the window of the Black 2014 WRX hatchback they parked next to as she drove the rear door of her POS civic into it with her ass leaving a solid 3" gouge in the door and paint. People are assholes and don’t give a shit about others property.

Have I ever shown you a picture of the huge crease just ahead of the passenger door on the front fender of my car? Has to be about 8 inches tall, and took the V off the V12 badge on that side. Bought the car with the damage because I figured it could happen at any time as far as my insurance was concerned.
